Daniela Berger (born August 25, 1956 ) is a Swiss athlete and politician.

Sports

Daniela Berger was eight times Swiss champion in Latin American dances between 1972 and 1984 and between 1981 and 1984 she won the bronze medal in this discipline at the European and World Championships. Today she works as a dance teacher and trainer. She is co-founder and managing director of one of the largest dance centers in Switzerland . She is also a member of various dance associations and regularly acts as an adjudicator at European and World Championships. On September 1, 2007, she co-hosted the Eurovision Dance Contest for Swiss television alongside Sascha Ruefer .

Daniela Berger's father was already a politician . He was one of the first residents' council presidents of the city of Baden and a member of the Free Democratic Party . In 1997 Daniela Berger joined the SP . From 1997 to 2001 she was on the city council of Baden. Between 2002 and 2015 she was a city councilor (executive) and headed the culture department for 14 years in office.

Since February 2020 she has been the new President of the Aargau Board of Trustees , which was founded in 1969 .
