Daniela Egger (* 1967 in Hohenems ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Daniela Egger is a graduate of the Hetzendorf Fashion School in Vienna and a scholarship holder from the Munich Screenwriting Workshop at the University of Television and Film there. She flew around the world as a flight attendant on the private plane of an Arab sheik for 5 years and processed her experiences there in the volume of stories “The steward should not have opened the door”.

Until 2017 Egger was co-editor of the Austrian literary magazine miromente .

In addition, Egger writes screenplays, plays, radio plays and stories.

  • Third prize in the playwright competition of the Graz Academy for the play Schröder , 2000
  • ORF Prize for film and television-compatible materials for the screenplay World wide violence as part of the Carl Mayer screenplay competition, Diagonale Graz 2002
