Danielle Mason

Danielle Mason (* 1983 ) is a New Zealand theater and film actress .

Life

From 1997 Mason attended the University of Waikato , where she did her Bachelor of Arts. In 2002 she graduated from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School with a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts. Mason had her first role in two episodes of the television series Revelations . In 2004 she received the Chapman Tripp Theater Prize in the categories of Best Female Newcomer and Outstanding Performance . She received more attention for her role in the horror film Black Sheep . In the films The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug , she was the double of Cate Blanchett in the role of Galadriel . In 2019 she had a cast on an episode of the soap Shortland Street .
