Daniel Gregorio "Danny" Romero (born July 12, 1974 in Albuquerque , USA ) is a former American boxer in the super fly and flyweight division .

Professional career

On April 22, 1995 he boxed in the flyweight against Francisco Tejedor for the world championship title of the association IBF and won by unanimous decision of the judges. He held this title until the following year.

On August 24, 1996, he won this belt with a classic knockout victory in round 2 over Harold Gray, also in the super flyweight division. He defended this title twice and lost it unanimously on points in the title unification the following year against WBO world champion Johnny Tapia .
