Dantu site

The Dantu-site ( 丹土遗址 , Dāntǔ yízhǐ , English Dantu Site ) is a late Neolithic site in the village of Dantu greater community Chaihe the circle Wulian the eastern Chinese province of Shandong . It is dated to an age of approximately 4,800 years.

The site was discovered in 1934 by Wang Xiantang王献 唐 (1896–1960). More than 200 stone tools , pottery, jade and bone artifacts have been excavated, the finds belong to the late Neolithic Dawenkou culture and the Longshan culture .

The Dantu site ( Dantu yizhi ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (4-11) since 1996 .
