Daphne Wright (born May 19, 1951 in Kensington , London ), better known under her pseudonym Natasha Cooper , is a British crime writer .

Life

Wright was born the second of five children into an academic family. She wanted to become a writer at an early age, but that seemed impossible because of her dyslexia . Even so, her grandmother, Catherine Wright, encouraged her to pursue this career.

After finishing school, Wright began working in publishing. As a young editor, she won the Tony Godwin Memorial Trust Award . After ten years in publishing, Wright decided to devote himself to writing. She started with some historical novels. While working on her front row with civil servant and novelist Willow King, where she used the pseudonym Natasha Cooper, Wright found her real genre: the crime thriller. Her second series was about the ambitious lawyer Trish Maguire, who, driven by her social conscience, also interferes in matters that are actually outside of her professional activity. The third series is about forensic psychologist Karen Taylor.

Wright also writes book reviews for The Times , The Times Literary Supplement, and The Globe and Mail . She also has a column in Crime Time magazine . In 2007 she was jointly responsible for the implementation of the Harrogate Crime Writing festival .
