Darren Shan
Darren O'Shaughnessy (born July 2, 1972 in London ) is an Irish-British fantasy and children's author . He mainly writes under the stage name Darren Shan . He became known through the vampire series of the same name Darren Shan (In the original: The Saga of Darren Shan ). He publishes a series of books under the pseudonym DB Shan .
Life
Darren O'Shaughnessy has lived in Limerick , Ireland, since he was six . He started writing short stories as a teenager. He studied sociology and English. Before he started writing, he worked for a television company. He became internationally known with his novel The Midnight Circus ( Cirque du Freak , 2000).
