The boarding school - school like 50 years ago was a reality TV series on Swiss television in the summer of 2005 .

Summary

In the film, 16 young people from all over German-speaking Switzerland went to the Schatzalp above Davos for three weeks to experience what boarding school life was like 50 years ago. A clearly structured daily routine, a lot of school and discipline, little free time and no modern equipment was specified.

On July 2, 2005, the 16 selected young people were dressed and hairdressed. The series started on July 25, 2005 and summarized the day's events every evening. A weekly summary was sent every Friday after 10:15 p.m.

The programs were moderated by Oliver Bono , assisted by historical advisor Hans Peter Treichler . The editor-in-chief was Thomas Schäppi .

The Schweizer Handelszeitung reported that boarding schools were fully booked and that an old school type was in demand again.
