Lifeline number 1

The lifeline or thumb furrow is a hand line .

It is the first to form in the human fetus in the third month and hardly changes over the course of a lifetime.

Palm reading

In chiromancy the vitalis , as the line of life is also called there, has a meaningfulness about the vitality (Latin "liveliness"). One can learn from it information in particular about the quality of the driving forces of a person, which serve self and species preservation. Mainly the regularity, depth, width, length, shape (rounded or rather straight) and fluctuations of these properties in the course of the life line are assessed.

Many chiromancers claim that they can read specific events in a person's life from these fluctuations, as well as hand lines crossing the lifeline. Usually the end between the thumb and forefinger is considered to be the time of birth and the end facing the wrist is considered to be the end of life. However, the time keys used are not uniform.
