David Cohen Prize
The David Cohen Prize for Literature is a British literary prize awarded for a lifetime achievement. It was initiated by the John S. Cohen Foundation and is overseen by the Arts Council England . The award has been given every two years since 1993 to a living British or Irish writer who has published in English and made a significant contribution to English literature. The present work can come from a wide variety of literary genres. The prize is endowed with £ 40,000 (as of 2019).
The respective winners of the Prize selects its part, the recipient of 12,500 £ doped Clarissa Luard Award from the support of a literary organization, the young writer, or to go to a single writer who is younger than 35 years.
