David GL Weiss (full name: David Gustav Leopold Weiss ; born February 4, 1978 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

David Weiss completed his studies in cultural and social anthropology at the University of Vienna in 2009. His diploma thesis "The circumnavigation of the Austrian frigate SMS Novara in the years 1857-1859" has been published in a revised form as a book. Since 2005 he has been working as a freelancer for Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, he can be heard regularly on Ö3's program Einfach zum Nachmachen . In 2005 he received the Lower Austrian State Exhibition Medal . In the period from 2006 to 2012, several dependent publications on cultural-historical topics were published. Between 2009 and 2011 he published three detective novels with Gerd Schilddorfer .
