Edition Karo - literary publisher Josefine Rosalski ( spelling : edition karo ) is a German book publisher with headquarters in Berlin , which was founded by the journalist Josefine Rosalski in 2004. The program focuses on poetry, prose, travel stories, anthologies and crime novels.

The publisher is a member of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels and supports the Kurt Wolff Foundation to promote a diverse publishing and literary scene.

Josefine Rosalski claimed first place for poetry at the Bonn book fair Migration in 2003 and was nominated for the Agatha Christie detective award in 2004.

KaroKrimiPreis and crime fiction anthologies

After the publication of two crime anthologies in 2005 and 2008, the publishing house first announced the KaroKrimiPreis in 2009, which since then has been awarded almost regularly every two years by an external jury and is endowed with a total of around 600 euros in prize money. The actions of the anthologies each take place in a large city at Christmas time (including Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, etc.), which is why we are also talking about the Christmas thrillers:
