Kurt Wolff Foundation
The non-profit Kurt Wolff Foundation for the promotion of a diverse publishing and literary scene , Kurt Wolff Foundation for short , sees itself as representing the interests of independent German publishers. It is named after the German publisher Kurt Wolff and is based in the “ Haus des Buches ” in Leipzig . The foundation was established on October 17, 2000 by publishers and the then Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media , Michael Naumann . It is supported by funds from the German Book Trade Association , the Federal Government and the Free StateSaxony and the city of Leipzig. Among other things, she realizes her concerns by regularly awarding the Kurt Wolff Prize.
