Bella triste (spelling: BELLA triste ) is a German-language magazine for literature .

The magazine

BELLA triste has been published three times a year in Hildesheim since 2001 . It is currently published by Elske Beckmann, Arpana Aischa Berndt, Carla Hegnon, Moritz Heuwinkel, Simoné Lechner, Selma Matter, Hannah del Mestre, Mariusz Hoffmann, Judith Rinklebe, Mirjam Wittig and Jana Zimmermann. BELLA triste has its roots in the creative writing and cultural journalism course , which was established at the University of Hildesheim in 1999 and is headed by Professors Hanns-Josef Ortheil and Christian Schärf. The magazine sees itself primarily as a platform for talented, undiscovered authors of poetry, prose and drama and also offers texts by already established (mostly younger) writers. In addition to poems, stories and dramatic texts, essays, interviews and poetological texts are printed in the editions, which are illustrated with graphics, drawings or photography, which deal aggressively and critically with contemporary literature and the company. Thematic editions were devoted to the young Swiss literary scene or young poetry in the German-speaking area. The authors published so far include Jörg Albrecht , Marcel Beyer , Nico Bleutge , Nora Bossong , Ann Cotten , Özlem Özgül Dündar , Judith Hermann , Franz Josef Czernin , Ulrike Draesner , Gerhard Falkner , Daniel Kehlmann , Marie Luise Lehner , Peter Neumann , Marion Poschmann , Steffen Popp , Tilman Rammstedt , Silke Scheuermann , Christian Schloyer , Uwe Tellkamp , Raphael Urweider , Anja Utler , Kevin Vennemann , Bettina Wilpert and Ron Winkler .

Reading program

The magazine is supplemented by a fixed program of readings and literary events: release parties are held three times a year in Hildesheim , Berlin and at the Leipzig Book Fair . There are also readings throughout the German-speaking area, which BELLA triste organizes and curates.

Prosanova - Festival of Young Literature

Prosanova , the festival for young contemporary German-language literature organized by BELLA triste , took place for the first time in May 2005 in Hildesheim.
