The P. Kirchheim Verlag is an independent publisher from Munich ( Ludwig-Isarvorstadt ).

history

It was founded in 1967 by Peter Kirchheim. A central warehouse was opened in Leipzig in 2001 . The first publications were Thomas Niederreuther, Herbert Achternbusch ( Servus Bayern ) and Alexander Lowen ( Bioenergetics for Everyone ). The latter became the publisher's most successful work, the 17th edition published in 2016. In 1980 the Kirchheim Bücher bookstore was transferred to Luitgard Kirchheim, and in 2013 it was sold to Marc Schürhoff. 1985 the record division was sold. During this time the publisher expanded its range to include scientific literature. In 1991 the work of the Italian writer Giuseppe Ungaretti was published. In 1994 began a close collaboration with the literary scholar Dirk Heisserer . A series of Indologica was started in 2006. The publisher has been responsible for a series of historical publications by the Andechs Monastery since 2008. The Middle East and the Middle East have been the focus of the publisher since 2009. P. Kirchheim Verlag has been represented at the Frankfurt Book Fair since 1983 .

In addition to academic literature, there is a focus on Romance languages, Jewish literature, children's books and health. The authors included Herbert Achternbusch , Werner Fritsch , Simon Werle , Amir Hassan Cheheltan , Michael Farin , Andreas W. Friedrich , Solly Ganor, Jürgen Hanneder , Katja Huber , Joris-Karl Huysmans, Alexander Lowen , Erika Mann, and Käte Meyer-Drawe , Frank Quilitzsch, SAID, Gabriele Stötzer, Claus Vogel , Laura Waco and Kadidja Wedekind.
