Jürgen Hanneder

Jürgen Hanneder (* 1964 ) is a German Indologist .

Life

Hanneder studied Indology, Tibetology and Religious Studies at the universities in Munich , Bochum and Bonn . He then worked as a research assistant at the Philipps University of Marburg and spent two years in Oxford . In 1996 he received his doctorate from Michael Hahn in Marburg . He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Bonn and as an assistant in Halle . In 2004 he completed his habilitation with a thesis on Mokṣopāya .

Since the 2007/2008 winter semester he has held a professorship for Indology and Tibetology at the Philipps University of Marburg .
