poetenladen is a label for the literature platform poetenladen.de , the literary magazine poet and the literary publisher poetenladen .

Literature platform

poetenladen.de is the website initiated by Andreas Heidtmann that is dedicated to contemporary German-language literature. The website has been online since 2005 and includes features, criticism, portraits, reviews and essays as well as poetry and prose by hundreds of authors from the German-speaking area (and occasionally beyond). The page is updated several times a week.

magazine

poet has been a magazine for contemporary poetry and prose, essay and author talk, edited twice a year since 2006. A dossier with foreign language poetry has been added for several editions, for example in the 10th edition with English poetry. The publisher is Andreas Heidtmann, founder and publisher of poetenladen in Leipzig. The editorial team of the magazine includes a. Katharina Bendixen and Andreas Heidtmann. Contributors include numerous authors from the literature platform poetenladen.de , and the magazine is also open to other original contemporary voices. poet is published as a sewn flap brochure with a volume of 300 pages. The magazine is funded by the German Literature Fund eV (2009) and by the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony. In 2010 poetenladen.de and poet received the Calw Hermann Hesse Prize .

In 2007 the first book was published by poetenladen . The program of the independent publishing house is primarily dedicated to contemporary German-language poetry and prose, both by well-known authors and authors who are still to be discovered by a wider public. Poetenladen has been represented at the Leipzig Book Fair since 2007 . In 2019 and 2020 the publisher was awarded the German Publishing Prize.
