Constantin Göttfert
Constantin Göttfert (* 1979 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author.
Life
Göttfert graduated from the Oberstufenrealgymnasium Hegelgasse 12 in Vienna in 1997 and initially studied to be a secondary school teacher for English and music education at the Pedagogical Academy Ettenreichgasse . He then studied German and cultural studies at the University of Vienna and at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig . His debut novel "Satus Katzen" was praised by Franz Haas in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung as "artfully arranged [...] with a great sense for the clang of unrequited feelings". In the partly autobiographical novel "Steiner's Story", Göttfert dealt with the expulsion of the Carpathian Germans after the Second World War. The book was awarded the Heinrich Heine Scholarship and translated into Turkish. In addition to his work as a writer, Göttfert worked, among other things, as a copywriter for applications and as a lecturer for scientific papers. Göttfert lives in Vienna.
