Quote
- "In Sylvia Geist's poetry, linguistic styles permeate one another: the exactness of scientific designation, the vagueness of colloquial language and, last but not least, the extreme condensation of poetic speech. Language reflection that remains legible is at a high level, that is introspection that does not primarily focus on the dissecting knife leaves." (Tim Schomacker)
- "With her poems, Sylvia Geist reinforces the movement that lies in the already wobbly systems of science; she breathes intimacy into them, destroys them, questions them." Non-Euclidean journey "is the name and program of her last volume of poetry; the common notion the room only serves as a projection surface for lustful negation. " (Arne Rautenberg)
- "Reading the poems of Sylvia Geist means immersing yourself in a highly sensitive sensorium. Extreme tension in reaching into it. Dissecting and separating flesh and nerve cords, muscle fibers: the poem works from the inside out. The wounds: invisible on the skin, barbs, tugging at synapses. "(Christine Marendon)
- "Sylvia Geist's poetry is about dissolution and dematerialization. Her language work is confident, unpretentious, light, delicate and quiet." (Kurt Drawert)
