Sinker (surfboard)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As sinker is called windsurfing boards , because of its volume as small a buoyant produce, that the weight of the windsurfer including its equipment ( wetsuit , Rigg , trapezoid ) is not worn. In addition to the volume (given in liters), the width of the surfboard also has a certain influence on how (difficult) it is to drive.

If the propulsion from the sail force is sufficient to accelerate the surfboard sufficiently, it glides on the water surface due to the dynamic buoyancy .

In addition to sinkers, there are also semi-sinkers (also: semi-sinkers).
