Crauss (born September 19, 1971 in Siegen , real name not known) is a German writer.

life and work

Crauss studied literature at the University of Siegen and has been working as a freelance writer and lecturer since the mid-1990s . He primarily writes poetry that has been published in numerous anthologies and literary magazines.

The volume of poems Crausstrophobie , published by Heinz Ludwig Arnold in the 2000 edition of poetry , contains experimental, strongly referential texts that are referred to as remixes based on the terminology of modern music . They are characterized in particular by an intensive examination of pop cultural topics and traditions as well as authors and texts from pop literature (with Nicolas Born , Rolf Dieter Brinkmann , Christian Kracht , Thomas Meinecke, among others ). In contrast, Crauss' volume Alles über Ruth with poems on the subject of love is no less referential, but less experimental .

In addition to poems, Crauss also publishes prose and literary critical texts. He is the editor of the literary journal Kritische Ausgabe and the Siegen city magazine Inside , a member of the literature project Forum der 13 and the artist group Aktion Musenflucht and lecturer in creative writing at the University of Siegen. In addition, he publishes his own texts as well as texts by others, especially authors from Siegen.

Crauss lives in Siegen .
