Roland Erb
Roland Erb (born April 1, 1943 in Töppeln ) is a German writer and poet .
Life
He grew up in Königsberg in the Neumark and then moved to Nordhausen am Harz . There he attended school and graduated from high school .
From 1961 to 1966 he studied Romance studies in Leipzig and then worked as a publishing and external editor. He has been a freelance writer and literary journalist since 1972. As a translator , he devoted himself to texts by Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Romanian authors.
After the publication of his first volume of poetry in 1981, he was banned from publishing for several years.
From 1995 to 1999 he was co-editor of the Dresden literary magazine " Ostragehege ".
