Katharina Hartwell
Katharina Hartwell (born March 20, 1984 in Cologne ) is a German writer .
Life
Hartwell was born in Cologne in 1984. She studied English , American and gender studies in Frankfurt am Main . Since 2010 she has been studying at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig . In 2013 Katharina Hartwell was Sylter island writer and scholarship holder at the Literary Colloquium Berlin . The text Das Fremde Meer , a love story in ten different variations and genres, is her debut novel.

- 2006: Competition winner of the Young Literature Forum Hessen-Thuringia
- 2009: MDR Literature Prize , for the short story But you still have your seat belt.
- 2011: Residence grant in the artist village Schöppingen
- 2013: Sylt island writer , for the story Jesper comes back.
- 2013: Hallertau Debut Prize
- 2014: Fantastic Literature Prize Seraph , “Best Debut”, for The Foreign Sea
- 2015: Würth Literature Prize , 1st Prize, for Konstantin West and I look at an apartment we will never move into
- 2016: Harder Literature Prize for The Photo of the Cat in the Dead Man's Apartment
- 2019: Scholarship from the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe
