Island writer
The Sylter Inselschreiber is a literary prize for German-speaking authors in the form of a literary scholarship . The prize has been advertised annually since 2000 by the private foundation kunst: raum sylt quelle based in Rantum as a literary competition. The award is associated with an eight-week stay in Rantum and prize money of 2,500 euros. Originally the prize money was 5,000 euros, and two additional scholarships for a month's stay on Sylt and 800 euros in prize money were awarded.
