Thomas Boehme

Thomas Böhme (* 1955 in Leipzig ) is a German writer .

life and work

Thomas Böhme began a teacher training course and then trained as a library worker. He then worked as a librarian and advertising editor. From 1982 to 1984 he completed a distance learning course at the Leipzig Literature Institute . Since 1985 he has been a freelance writer with interruptions.

He is a member of the PEN Center Germany , the German Writers' Association and the Free Academy of Arts in Leipzig.

Böhme made a name for himself above all as a poet , but his extensive work also includes stories , novels and essays.

He is widowed and has two grown daughters.
