Manfred Enzensperger

Manfred Enzensperger (born August 24, 1952 in Cologne ) is a German writer .

After graduating from high school , Enzensperger studied English , German and educational sciences at the Universities of Cologne, Cambridge and Yale (USA). For many years he has worked as a specialist in the high school teacher training at the study seminar in Leverkusen. Enzensperger primarily writes poems that have been published in numerous anthologies and literary magazines. In 1999 he made his debut with the volume of poetry »Sperriertel«. In 2005 he edited "The Hölderlin Ants" with poetological essays by Marcel Beyer , Ulrike Draesner , Wulf Kirsten , Brigitte Oleschinski , Oskar Pastior and numerous other contemporary poets. Enzensperger's poems have appeared in various anthologies and in the literary journals die horen , concepts , mussel heaps and new german literature .

Enzensperger lives in Cologne and Leverkusen .
