history

The first anthology, The Early 80s , which contained prose as well as poetry, was published in 1983 by the Cologne authors' initiative. By 1993, further anthologies of poetry appeared there, supervised by Axel Kutsch and occasional co-editors. Jagged mind. German-language poetry from the 1990s initiated the collaboration with the Landpresse publishing house, which was later renamed Verlag Ralf Liebe . The anthologies have been operating under the permanent title Versnetze since 2008 . Versnetze_sechs appeared in 2013 with new poetry, which - like the previous anthologies - receives vital impulses from writers of all ages not only in the centers but also in the hinterland .

Conception

The aim of the anthologies, which Kutsch occasionally creates thematically or as an overview of the entire German-language poetry from the beginning to the present or an epoch, is to document the breadth of the development of contemporary German-language poetry. The editions of around 200 to 300 pages each contain around 150 to 200 authors from all over the German-speaking area, including Achim Amme , Jochen Arlt , Jürgen Becker , Hans Bender , Theo Breuer , Safiye Can , Ulrike Draesner , Robert Gernhardt , Durs Grünbein , Ulla Hahn , Anton G. Axel Kutsch attaches great importance to providing an overview of the content, forms and spelling of the multifaceted current German-language poetry across generations and regions . In relation to the variety of styles in the contributions, he writes: The phases of fundamental innovative innovations have largely ebbed away with the fading of modernity, but in the ›networks‹ you can see for yourself that numerous contemporary poets are successfully trying to adapt their diction to release literary influences through ›small shifts‹ (Ernst Jandl) and to set individual poetic accents so that it is more appropriate to speak of a new pluralism instead of a lack of style.
