Lino Wirag

Lino Wirag (* 1983 in Pforzheim ) is a German author , illustrator and cultural scientist .

Life

Wirag studied literature and art history in Freiburg, creative writing and cultural journalism with Hanns-Josef Ortheil and Stephan Porombka in Hildesheim , art in Nykarleby, Finland, and as a postgraduate at a graduate school at the University of Konstanz . He has published texts and illustrations in numerous anthologies and school books as well as in magazines and newspapers ( Titanic , Bella triste , Pardon , Merkur , Das Gedicht , Süddeutsche Zeitung ) and realized book projects for various independent publishers (some under a pseudonym ). He has received grants and sponsorship awards for his work. Wirag has hosted the poetry slam in his hometown of Pforzheim since 2003 (which in 2011 provided the German-speaking champion with Nektarios Vlachopoulos). In 2005 he developed the event format Live.Poetry : With this combination of poetry slam and theater sport , authors (at the Prosanova literature festival 2011, for example, Hendrik Jackson and Uljana Wolf ) create texts in interaction with the audience. As a cultural scientist, he publishes on the topics of comics , comics and event literature . Wirag lives and works in Munich.
