David Hausmann (fencer)

David Hausmann (born April 5, 1979 in Aachen ) is a former German foil fencer of OFC Bonn . He began his career under Herbert Wagner as a trainer and from 1998 to 1999 he was a Bundeswehr athlete in the Cologne-Wahn sports promotion group . In 1999 Hausmann was both German and World Champion in the “Juniors” age group. In 2000 he took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney for Germany and reached 6th place in the team competition.

Today Hausmann works as a sports physician and team doctor.
