David Kerin
David Abramowitsch Kerin (also: David S. Krejn ; * 1869 ; † 1926 ) was a Russian violinist.
Kerin came from a Russian-Jewish family of musicians. His father Abram Kerin was a piano tuner and klezmer musician, and all of his siblings became instrumentalists and professional musicians, his brothers Alexander , Julian and Grigori Abramowitsch Kerin also became known as composers. He performed in a duo with Sergei Rachmaninov and went on international tours as a member of the Moscow Trio . From 1900 he was principal and solo violinist of the ballet orchestra at the Bolshoi Theater and from 1918 professor at the Moscow Conservatory .
