David Lozano Garbala
David Lozano Garbala (born October 30, 1974 in Saragossa ; also: David Lozano ) is a Spanish writer , screenwriter and lawyer .
Life
David Lozano Garbala was interested in fantasy and horror films as a child and began writing and storytelling at an early age. He studied law and Hispanic philology and then worked as a lawyer in Saragossa. He obtained a Masters in Communication from the Miguel Hernández Elche University . He taught high school at the Colegio Santa María del Pilar in his hometown.
He appeared as an actor in various short films . For two years he directed and presented the program Depredadores ("Blackmailers") for the television station Zaragoza TV , after which he took care of the well-known program En pocas palabras ("In a few words"). He also works as a screenwriter for documentaries, television programs and commercials.
In 1998 Lozano Garbala published his first book. For his novel Donde surgan los sombres (“Where the shadows arise”) he received the 28th Premio Gran Angular for youth literature in 2006 from Prince Felipe . His trilogy La Puerta Oscura , which was also translated into German and Italian, became a bestseller ; a film adaptation is planned in which the author himself will write the script. The book Cielo rojo (“Red Sky”) was published on November 2, 2011, followed by Herejía (“Heresy”) on November 8, 2013 . The author's next book for young people, Hyde , was published on April 3, 2014. After the two children's books Safari en África and El ladrón de minutos , another book for young people followed in 2016, Valkiria. Game over .
