David Neville (ice hockey player)

David John Neville (born May 2, 1908 in Hamilton , Ontario , † October 14, 1991 ) was a Canadian ice hockey player .

Career

David Neville began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in 1929 with the Hamilton Pats. In the 1931/32 season he completed three games for the Arnprior Greenshirts before moving to the Montreal Hockey Club from the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association. When the team changed their name to Montreal Royals in 1932 and moved to the Quebec Senior Hockey League a year later, he stayed at the club. As a guest player, he represented Canada with the Port Arthur Bearcats at the 1936 Winter Olympics. He then stayed with the Montreal Royals from 1936 to 1938 before taking on for the Toronto Goodyears in the 1938/39 season. He then ended his ice hockey career.

International

For Canada , Neville took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , where he and his team won the silver medal.
