Lucia Scherzberg

Lucia Scherzberg (* 1957 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Scherzberg studied Catholic theology and education at the Universities of Freiburg and Münster. With her dissertation Sin and Grace in Feminist Theology , she received her doctorate in 1991 at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster. From 1986 to 1996 she was a research assistant and research assistant at the Ecumenical Institute of the University of Münster and temporarily headed the Feminist Theology Research and Research Unit at the Catholic Theological Faculty. Between 1990 and 2004 she worked as a lecturer at various universities, church colleges and universities of applied sciences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Among other things, she was a substitute professor in systematic theology at the Free University of Berlin from 1999 to 2001 . In 2001 she completed her habilitation on Karl Adam in the subject of dogmatics at the Catholic Theological Faculty in Tübingen . Since 2003 she has been professor for systematic theology at Saarland University .

Her main research interests are "coming to terms with the past" in Catholic theology and theological research on women with a view to systematic-theological questions.

Scherzberg has been co-editor of the theologie.geschichte magazine since 2006 . Together with Michael Hüttenhoff , she also heads the Ecumenical Research Center for Church and Theological History of the 20th Century at Saarland University.
