David Niederman
Rabbi David Niederman lives in New York and is President of the UJO (United Jewish Organizations) in Williamsburg . In the 1970s he founded the “International Jewish Rescue Organization” Rav Tov , which, according to the Austrian consul Andreas Launer, helped thousands of Jews from the former Soviet Union and Iran to emigrate to the USA with the help of the Austrian federal government .
In 2006 Rabbi David Niederman was awarded the Great Gold Medal for Services to the Republic of Austria .
