David Plouffe

David Plouffe (* 1967 ) is an election campaign advisor to the Democratic Party in the United States. He led Barack Obama's campaign for the 2008 presidential election .

Plouffe worked for AKP Message & Media from winter 2000 to 2002 and became a partner of the company in February 2004. In the intervening year he was the strategic leader in the unsuccessful presidential campaign of Dick Gephardt .

In 2011 he followed David Axelrod as chief advisor in the White House.

Senior Vice President (SVP) of Policy and Strategy for Uber since August 2014 .
