Brothers Schiestl

The Schiestl brothers were three brothers who were active as visual artists in the Franconian - Bavarian region at the beginning of the 20th century . Their mostly independent, occasionally jointly created work primarily takes up Christian themes. The three brothers were born as the sons of a carver , Matthäus Schiestl the Elder (1834–1915), who lives in the Zillertal . In 1873 the family moved to Würzburg .
