Career
David Reid played for the Glasgow Rangers twice in his football career . First in 1884, and a second time from 1889 to 1891. He made his debut on May 2, 1884 in a 2-0 defeat by FC Dumbarton in the Glasgow Merchants Charity Cup . After a hiatus, he returned five years later to the Rangers who played in the newly formed Scottish Football League from 1890 . As a regular goalkeeper in the 1890/91 season , he completed 16 league games. The team finished the season as Scottish champions .
