David Strasmann

David Strasmann (born June 18, 1981 in Solingen ) is a German gas and hot air balloonist . Among other things, he is multiple German junior champion in hot air ballooning and German champion in 2010, 2014 and 2019. In 2015 he won the World Air Games in the hot air balloon discipline.

Life

Strasmann acquired the pilot's license in 1999. Since then, he has taken off on over 1400 trips in gas and hot air balloons. Since 2000 he has been a member of the "Ballon Club Mülheim 1979 eV" and was chairman of it for 10 years. He completed his first international participation in 2007 in Mainfond (France) on the Coupé d´Europe and came in second as the best German.

David Strasmann has been a member of the German hot air balloon national team DAeC / DFSV since 2009 and became the national team's spokesman in 2014. He regularly occupies top positions in the world rankings.
