David d'Avray
David d'Avray (born February 3, 1952 in Lusaka ) is a British historian .
Life
He earned a Bachelor in History from St John's College (Cambridge) (1970-1973) and a Ph. D. ( The Transformation of the Medieval Sermon ) (1973-1976). He became a Lecturer in 1977, Reader in 1993 and Professor in 1996 at University College London .
His main research interests are the history of religion in the Middle Ages and the history of the papacy.
