Davide Montemurri

Davide Montemurri (born April 25, 1930 in Taranto ) is an Italian actor , television and film director .

Montemurri graduated from the Accademia dell'Arte Drammatica in 1952 and was then active as a stage actor. He has had some minor successes in television films such as Tom Jones and has also held a few cinema roles. In 1963 he directed ( Alle 6, chausée d'Antin ) for the first time for television, in which he was able to celebrate numerous successes in this role in the following years . Classics such as Agamemnon (with Giorgio Albertazzi and Anna Proclemer ), Anna dei miracoli , Arsenic emerged and lace cap and Somenica dolce domenica . Occasionally he also worked for the stage.

After he had had occasional points of contact with the cinema in the 1960s (twice as an actor and once as assistant director Vittorio De Sicas ), Montemurri shot his only full-length feature film in 1975. The slightly anarchic comedy Lezioni di violoncello con toccata e fuga , which he had also written himself, was not a great success. Further television work followed in the 1980s.
