Days of Fate was a German pop rock band from Dresden .

history

At the end of 1992 René and Dirk are looking for more members for a new band. Both already knew each other from the band Disaster's Times. André, who was part of the local electro scene, becomes the third man. With Torsten you will find a trained and experienced singer. In April 1993 the four completed their first television appearances ( MDR , RTL ), played various concerts and at various festivals. Their second single, which they produced on their own, is soon sold out.

In 1997 the album Gates was released worldwide. The second album should follow in 1999, but negotiations with the record company dragged on and the band disagreed on where the musical path should lead them. So it came to a break in 1999. In 2000 the four get together again and in 2001 they released Bizarre Love Triangle in the USA . In April 2003 the second album Home-made Cake of the Day was released . In March 2007 the third album Traffic was released. Traffic stayed in the top ten of the German Alternative Charts (DAC) for three weeks .

In December 2008 the band broke up with a last concert in Dresden.

style

Days of Fate started as a pure synth pop band in April 1993. Since 1998 they have been working increasingly with acoustic style elements such as guitar and drums and move between melancholic synth-pop, indie rock and electroclash . Their style is commonly described as electro rock .
