Geneva mosque

The Geneva Mosque (also: Mosque Petit-Saconnex ) was founded in 1978 in the district of Le Petit-Saconnex in Geneva built.

It was inaugurated by the Saudi Arabian King Chalid ibn Abd al-Aziz and the Swiss Federal Councilor Pierre Aubert and is the largest mosque in Switzerland. It offers space for around 1500 believers. The minaret reaches a height of 22 meters, making it the highest in Switzerland. The current imam of the mosque is Yahya Basalamah .
