Hey Gravity! is a British-Irish-Norwegian band from London. Musically, the band around front woman Justine Berry can be attributed to punk rock , but some tracks contain clear borrowings from rock 'n' roll , country and blues .
Band history
The band members come to a large extent from the previous band MASS , which disbanded in 2006 after Jonny Green left . His place as guitarist is now taken by Anna Hall, who previously played with Dirt Candy and is also a singer.
The band name Hey Gravity! is derived from the MASS hit single of the same name.
The band financed the first album Risen itself. The recording began in 2005 in San Francisco. After almost 2 years, the first album was released in February 2007. The band is produced by Jeff Saltzmann , who has worked with the Killers , among others .
