De Groenen

De Groenen , (German Die Grünen ), are a political party in the Netherlands with a focus on ecology . The party was founded in 1983 . In contrast to the GroenLinks party , De Groenen are strictly pacifist and advocate an unconditional basic income .

In the European elections on May 22nd, 2014 De Groenen got 10,835 votes (0.23%).

Since the election on March 18, 2015, De Groenen have had one member in the parliament of the Waterschap Amstel, Gooi en Vecht.

At the European level, the party was an integral part of the green alliances for a long time. De Groenen belonged to the EGP alliance . The party has not been a member of the EGP since November 2017.
