Museum De Heibergske Samlinger - Sogn Folkemuseum is a folklore museum with an open-air section near Kaupanger in Vestland on the Sognefjord in Norway . Opened in 1907, the museum is one of the oldest in Norway and shows life in Sogn from the Middle Ages to the present day. In almost 40 buildings, it shows the range from the medieval smoke house to the standard house of the late 1980s. The houses show the different levels of wealth of their residents, from the house of the small farmer to the house of the bailiff. The museum has a working farm with horses, cows, sheep, pigs and chickens.
