DLL, also known as De Lage Landen, is a global finance and leasing company with a portfolio of more than EUR 30 billion in assets. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Eindhoven , the Netherlands, the company offers financing options for objects in the fields of agriculture, food, construction, industry, transport, office technology and healthcare technology. DLL works with manufacturers, dealers and suppliers in over 30 countries and is active in the field of retail financing, dealer purchase financing and financing of used machines. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rabobank Group.

DLL has also had a German branch in Düsseldorf since 1987 .

In 2015 DLL recorded a ten percent growth in its portfolio to 37.5 billion euros and a net profit of 525 million euros. In 2016, DLL was named one of the top five European leasing companies.

history

De Lage Landen was founded in 1969 by Rabobank and Interpolis as a credit company. There has been a joint venture with Agco-Finance since 1990 and a joint venture with Cargobull-Finance, a cooperation with Schmitz Cargobull, since 2000 . In 2014 the company was renamed DLL under the motto “see what counts”. Since 1990 DLL has been working with Agco as part of the Agco Finance joint venture. In addition, the Cargobull Finance joint venture was created in 2000 from a cooperation with Schmitz Cargobull.

In 1982 the operating leases, which became the basis for supplier financing, were introduced. In the same year, car leasing was introduced. The company expanded to Europe in 1987 and to North America eleven years later. Tokai Financial Services, a small asset finance company, was acquired in 1999. In 2002 the company expanded to South America and Australia, in 2004 to Asia. In 2005 Telia Finans was acquired as an international car leasing company.

Athlon Car Lease, an international car leasing company, was acquired in 2006. In 2006 the company expanded to Central and Eastern Europe. Freo Online Consumer Finance was introduced in the Netherlands in 2007. Business activities began in India in 2011. The car leasing provider Athlon was sold to Daimler Financial Services in 2016. The Dutch Financial Solutions division is taken over by Rabobank.
