Deadlee (real name Joseph Thomas Lee ) is a hip hop artist from Los Angeles , California .

According to Spiegel Online from 2007, he likes to describe himself as a “gay gangster” and with his appearance as a “tattooed, muscle-packed man in his mid-thirties”, he “could also be included in the Cypress Hill crew”.

He released two albums. The music video Good Soldier II was played several times on the MTV channel LOGO .

With his lyrics he takes a stand against homophobia in hip-hop and confronts rappers like Eminem and 50 Cent with their own earlier statements.

Deadlee appeared in the documentary Hip Hop Homos , which aired on LOGO. He was also portrayed in the 2005 documentary Pick Up the Mic . In 2007 Deadlee was the subject of various entertainment news ( Rolling Stone , AllHipHop.com , CNN) In 2007, he was on his HomoRevolution Tour 2007 tour . He appeared on The Tyra Banks Show with Tori Flixx and Foxxjazell .
