Debagoiena
The Comarca Debagoiena ( Basque ; Spanish : Alto Deva "Upper Deva") is an administrative unit in the southwest of the Basque province of Gipuzkoa in northern Spain . It is located in the central part of the Spanish Basque Country on the upper reaches of the eponymous river Deba (Spanish Deva ), which flows through the comarca from south to north. Its administrative headquarters are in Arrasate / Mondragón . The population of the comarca is 61,922 (as of 2009) with an area of 342.73 km², which corresponds to a population density of 181 inhabitants per km².
