Debbie Clarke (born August 25, 1983 ) is a Welsh folk pop singer.

biography

Debbie Clarke grew up in the rural Wye Valley on the south-eastern border of Wales. When she was nine she wanted to become a singer for the first time and when she was 20 she went to the Royal Academy of Music in London to study classical singing. Alongside her studies, however, she performed folk music in clubs in London and finally decided to take this direction. She managed to apply to producer Tony Visconti , who accepted her immediately and recorded the debut album Manhattanhenge with her . The recordings were made in Wales, while Visconti managed and completed the production from New York. The album was released in June 2012 and placed in Germany at position 77 in the charts.
