Decimus Caerellius Victor

Decimus Caerellius Victor was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

An inscription on an altar, which was found at the Vindolanda fort and which is dated to the second half of the 2nd century, shows that Victor was prefect of the Cohors II Nerviorum , which was stationed in the province of Britannia at that time . He dedicated the altar to the deity Cocidius .
